Silver Strikers Bylaws
SILVER STRIKERS CLUB, INC. BYLAWS
I. These Bylaws are intended to
supplement the Casino Chips & Gaming Tokens Collectors Club, Inc.,
hereafter Club, constitution and bylaws, and to govern the
operation and conduct of the Chapters business.
II. Officers, appointed positions, responsibilities:
A. PRESIDENT
1. Presides at all officially-called Chapter meetings;
2. Appoints all committees and chairmen, Historian, Election, Advertising,
Newsletter Editor, Publicity, Librarian, Audit, and any other positions as
shall from time to time be necessary; and
3. Conducts the business of the Chapter, with the advice and counsel
of the other officers.
4. Coordinates all Chapter activities with the officers of the Club.
B. 1st VICE PRESIDENT
1. Acts in the absence of the President at all meetings;
2. Acts as chairman for educational events including annual
Convention meeting;
3. Directs all membership activities including maintaining the roster,
provide membership packets, and membership drives.
4. Performs additional duties as directed.
C. 2nd VICE PRESIDENT
1. Coordinates annual convention activities including exhibits, badges,
meeting rooms, promotion and auction;
2. Directs and assists the newsletter editor with the
Chapters communication;
3. Performs additional duties as directed.
D. SECRETARY
1. Conducts the Chapters official correspondence and serves
as the Chapters prime contact on all inquiries;
2. Acts as Secretary for the Chapter by taking and maintaining all
official minutes for Officer meetings, Chapter meetings, and preparing official
documents;
3. Performs additional duties as directed.
E. TREASURER
1. Records all income received. All payments made
shall be evidenced by receipts, written certification of payment or canceled
checks. All payments must be made by check when practical. Any disbursements in
excess of $200 must be approved by another officer;
2. Maintains a petty cash fund not to exceed $100;
3. Maintains the dues status of each member;
4. Prepares Bi-annual financial reports to be reported
to the club. Prepares Bi-annual financial reports for publication in the
official newsletter summarizing income, expenses, assets and liabilities, and
submits an annual financial report to be reviewed with the membership at the
annual convention meeting each year;
5. Will have all accounts and records available for auditing
during the annual convention each year. The Audit Committee shall consist of
at least three Chapter members appointed by the President, plus the President
and Chapter Treasurer. The written report by the Audit Committee shall be
presented to the membership of the Chapter at its annual meeting and published
in the Chapters newsletter;
6. Performs additional duties as directed by the President or
other officers.
F. BANK ACCOUNT
1. A bank account will be opened and maintained at
a bank convenient to the Treasurer;
2. A minimum of two officers
including the Treasurer will sign on the account. The approval of two officers
including the Treasurer is required for any check in the amount greater than
$50.00.
3. No part of the new earning of the organization shall
inure to the benefit of any member or officer of the organization or any
private individual (except that reasonable compensation may be paid for
services rendered to or for the organization), and no member or officer shall
be entitled to share in the distribution of any of the organizations
assets upon the dissolution of the organization.
III. CONVENTIONS & MEETINGS
The Chapter shall take part in the annual convention of CC>CC and shall
also meet annually during the convention. The officers shall correspond from
time to time to prepare an advance agenda for the Chapter meetings.
IV. DUES/MEMBERSHIP
A. Chapter members are not required to be member of Casino
Chips & Gaming Tokens Collectors Club, Inc., prior to becoming a member
of the Chapter.
B. Current membership dues are $15 annually payable at one-year
anniversary.
C. Annual membership will be from the 1st day of the month
the application and $15 is received.
V. TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
Any member violating the bylaws of this organization, the Constitution of
CC>CC, or the Code of Ethics, or who has been convicted of a criminal
offense, engaged in conduct unbecoming to a member, or engaged in conduct
prejudicial to the welfare of the organization, shall be subject to expulsion
or other disciplinary action.
VI. POLICIES OF THE CHAPTER
No substantial part of the activities of the organization shall be carrying on
propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislation (except as
otherwise provided for by Section 501 (h) of the Internal Revenue Code, or by
participating in, or intervening in, including the publication or distribution
of statements) or any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public
office.
